- Prepares medication, upon receipt of prescription, for use within the hospital.
Enters/verifies medication orders into pharmacy computer to establish patient drug regimes. Purchases pharmaceuticals and stocks pharmacy and ancillary departments with medications based on par levels. Communicates drug information with Nursing staff. Oversees the preparation and dispensing of medications. Checks all medications dispensed from the pharmacy. Communicates with nursing and physicians to compliment patient care.
This position may qualify for a sign-on bonus.

EducationRequired:
Accredited School of Pharmacy; BS Pharmacy
- Required:
2 years of pharmacy experience - Preferred: 3 years of hospital experience
Required:
Texas Board of Pharmacy license
Required:
Certified in aseptic technique within 1 year of employment, Accredited training in sterile products preparation and IV Admixture Certification.
