• Perform skilled manual labor tasks such as installing, replacing, repairing, and maintaining water and sewer lines and related appurtenances.
• Apply knowledge of methods, materials, tools, and equipment used in the installation, replacement, maintenance, and repair of utility lines.
• Operate and preventatively maintain common automotive and mechanical equipment, ensuring safe use and operation.
• Keep simple records of work performed.
• Develop and maintain relationships with peers across departments.
• Multitask to organize and prioritize a changing work schedule to meet departmental needs.
• Follow oral and written instructions and communicate effectively, both orally and in written form.

• High school diploma/GED plus one (1) or more years of experience in utility maintenance and/or construction, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Valid Texas Driver's License.
