Senior Drug and Alcohol Recovery Nurse – NHS Highland

An opportunity has arisen for a Drug and Alcohol Recovery Nurse (either RMN or RGN) to work within the Drug and Alcohol Recovery Service in Nairn and the wider Drug and Alcohol Service in Highland.

• Work within the Drug and Alcohol Recovery Service and maintain close links with Community Mental Health Teams and other multidisciplinary staff.
• Carry out assessments, develop and implement treatment plans and offer interventions and harm reduction advice to a diverse client population.
• Provide safe and effective care, demonstrating a wide range of clinical skills.
• Offer supervision and support to junior staff within the team.

• Qualified and registered with the NMC as a non‑medical prescriber, or willing to undertake training on appointment.
• Significant post‑registration experience and relevant experience in the drug and alcohol field.
• Full current driving licence and ability to use a car for work purposes.
