Job Description

onsemi is seeking a manufacturing CFA (Color Filter Array) Equipment Tool Owner in Nampa, responsible for equipment in their assigned area to ensure a safe work environment, adherence to safety policies and guidelines, maintenance activities are performed on schedule, and equipment availability (Ae) meets target performance. This equipment supports the manufacture of CMOS Image Sensors.

Responsibilities
  • Dry Etch equipment includes:
    • SPTS Versalis CVD and Etch cluster platform
    • PSK Supra VM
    • Axcelis Fusion Radiant Strip platform
    • Axcelis Fusion Gemini Enhanced Strip platform
  • Wet Process equipment includes:
    • DNS FC-821L Wet Hood
    • Steag AWP Wet Hood
  • Thin Films equipment:
    • Olympus microscopes
    • Dektak Profilometer
    • Goniometer
  • Ensure that all Dry Etch/Wet Process equipment and any other equipment in the area is properly maintained (preventive maintenance and repairs) and released back to production in a production-worthy state.
  • Ensure that safe work practices are used to maintain equipment and that required work instructions include proper safety protocols (includes LOTO and interlock control).
  • Maintain work instructions and procedures for the CFA manufacturing equipment team.
  • Ensure sufficient spare parts are available for the responsible equipment.
  • Work with Lead Engineers to train shift teams on wet process equipment procedures and assign required training certifications.
  • Provide regular reports of equipment status, activities, and engineering requests.
  • Support the fab shift teams in maintaining wet process equipment and monitor shift team performance, ensuring proper documentation and verification for equipment release back to production.
  • Attend the Daily Area Meeting (DAM) in the fab to address support needs and convey requests and priorities.
  • Work with facilities and the project team on new equipment installs and projects.
  • Ensure calibrations (including hand-held equipment) are performed as scheduled and meet requirements.
  • Mentor equipment technicians for sound troubleshooting of down equipment.
  • Perform higher level equipment maintenance and repairs.
  • Work with production, NPI, and R&D teams on task and engineering requests.
  • Document all equipment maintenance work performed in Maintenance Manager (Mai Ma). Maintain scheduling in Oracle EAM and equipment qualifications in Mai Ma.
  • Ensure PM checklists and workflows in Mai Ma are properly maintained and that data entering SPACE is set up correctly (limits, rules, etc.) and reaction procedures are in place.
  • Improve work instructions, procedures, and best known methods for equipment maintenance.
  • Assist process engineering team to resolve equipment issues impacting performance.
  • Keep the Fab Equipment and Engineering Manager, Lead Engineers, and Production Supervisors informed of area issues and progress.
  • Work with MOS and IT teams to support equipment in the workstation.
  • Prepare monthly reports of equipment and workstation activities.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as an Equipment Technician or Engineer.
  • Associate degree in electronics or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Willingness to work 1st shift, Monday through Friday, with overtime as needed.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team.
  • Ability to follow written or verbal work instructions.
  • Familiarity with Oracle EAM, Mai Ma, SPACE, and CAMSTAR for maintaining equipment schedules and states.
  • Strong data summary and analytical skills; proficient with Microsoft Excel for graphs and data analysis.
  • Strong troubleshooting and mentoring approach.
  • Strong communication, documentation, and organizational skills, including Microsoft Word and PowerPoint.
