Becton Dickinson seeks an Engineer II to support lifecycle management and continuous improvement of commercialized medical devices. The role involves sustaining engineering, value engineering projects, and cost optimization while ensuring regulatory compliance and cross-functional collaboration.
Responsibilities- Support sustaining engineering activities for commercialized medical device products
- Execute value analysis and value engineering projects focused on cost reduction
- Develop and implement design changes to improve manufacturability and reliability
- Perform engineering analyses, root cause investigations, and risk assessments
- Author design control documentation and maintain technical records
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field
- 3-5 years of engineering experience, preferably in medical devices
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- Experience with value analysis/value engineering (VAVE) projects
- Demonstrated ability to implement design changes and improvements
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Knowledge of regulatory standards and quality system requirements
