The Industrial Performance Engineer is responsible for working cross‑functionally to enhance plant operational and financial performance by developing and rolling out plant‑wide Continuous Improvement initiatives. They lead project teams, task‑force initiatives, plan Kaizen events, and coach and mentor others within the organization to apply Continuous Improvement principles and methodologies.

• Develop, implement, and sustain industrial standards and plant processes—including procedures, training, qualification standards, and operational excellence standards (Root Cause Analysis, 6S, Daily Accountability, VPA, Lean Manufacturing principles) and Environmental, Health, Safety, and Quality.
• Identify and integrate best practices from internal and external plants.
• Lead or participate in continuous improvement projects or task forces, delivering measurable, sustainable results.
• Develop plant employees in root cause analysis, Continuous Improvement principles, 5S and related methodologies through training, coaching, and mentoring.
• Use DMAIC methodology (define, measure, analyze, improve, control) to drive projects.

Influence the improvement of six key performance indicators:
Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery, Motivation, and Environmental.

Education: B.S. in a technical field or at least 5 years of manufacturing experience preferred.

Experience: 5+ years manufacturing with at least 2 years leading or participating in continuous improvement initiatives;
Six Sigma Green Belt (or related certification) preferred; experience implementing Lean Manufacturing concepts; prior food manufacturing experience highly preferred.

Skills: Successful completion of DMAIC/Lean projects in production, quality, or supply chain; strong leadership and ability to lead through influence; prioritization, adaptability, and decision‑making skills; ability to challenge the status quo professionally; passion for plant‑floor interaction with employees at all levels; solid written and verbal communication; competency with Microsoft Office, data collection/analysis, and good lab notebook practices.

Physical & Travel Requirements: Minimum 8 hours per day; lift up to 40 lbs; travel by airplane within the US and internationally.
