Job Overview

MF/Pretreatment Operator III – Fluids Department (Nampa, ). Dual‑duty role includes Microfiltration (MF) and Whey Pre‑treatment. The MF side involves independent operation of the full MF system, the two milk skimming systems (MF and HTST#1), and management of skim milk, sweet cream, and MF retentate silos. The whey pre‑treatment side involves independent operation of the whey pre‑treatment system, separators, and the whey cream UHT system, and management of whey buffer silos.

The incumbent will work closely with the Milk Intake, Mozzarella Make, and whey plant departments.

• Operate equipment (MF system and/or Whey pre‑treatment) and record all pertinent data on the record sheet.
• Take necessary samples to ensure proper equipment operation and compliance with Lactalis regulations.
• Work closely with the Quality and Food Safety Team to ensure product quality and specifications are continually met.
• Apply safety rules and ensure they are implemented and followed.

The ideal candidate is proactive, dynamic, flexible, analytical, attentive to detail, and capable of working independently in adherence to regulations. • One year experience in a related field is preferred but not required.
• Specialized knowledge in dairy processing, fluid handling, and separation processes.
• Detail‑oriented, reliable, skilled in operating pre‑treatment systems and separators, and able to identify and resolve issues in the fluids processing system.
• Self‑motivated, eager to learn, and understands MF, HTST, and UHT systems.

• Push, pull, lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
• Stand for at least 8 hours per day.
• Willing to work over 40 hours per week.
