Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Heavy Equipment Mechanic role based in Nampa,  Heavy Equipment Mechanic will inspect, diagnose, and repair a wide range of heavy equipment used in agriculture, construction, turf, and related segments. Daily responsibilities include performing routine and preventive maintenance, troubleshooting mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues, and completing accurate service records. The role involves using diagnostic tools, reading technical manuals, ordering and installing parts, and ensuring equipment is safe, reliable, and compliant with manufacturer standards.

The mechanic will collaborate with service advisors, parts personnel, and customers to prioritize work, meet timelines, and support RMT Equipment’s service-first commitment.

Qualifications
  • Candidates should possess skills in Equipment Maintenance and Vehicle Maintenance for performing scheduled services and preventive care.
  • Candidates should possess skills in Equipment Repair and Heavy Equipment to handle complex repairs on tractors, loaders, mowers, and other machinery.
  • Candidates should possess strong Troubleshooting skills to diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues efficiently.
  • Experience working with agricultural, construction, or turf equipment is highly beneficial.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and service bulletins.
  • Strong attention to safety practices and adherence to company and industry standards.
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a service team.
  • Relevant technical certification or vocational training in diesel or heavy equipment mechanics ; equivalent experience considered.
  • Physical ability to lift heavy components, stand for extended periods, and work in shop and field environments.

Pay: $35-$45 per hour depending on experience. Full benefits
