This is a skilled position requiring the individuals to manage a variety of functions related to trucking operations. The individual must have a good understanding of construction, paving and material distribution business as they relate to transportation. Dispatch will be responsible for observing safety practices within the team and on the job site and will monitor the daily duties of operations within the department and will advise, correct and document as needed.

Position reports to the Transportation Manager.

• Prepare & direct drivers daily activities
• Schedule delivery of product to job locations
• Take orders from internal and external customers and ship in a timely manner
• Must be customer service oriented, both internally and externally
• Check and review all orders assigned before they are shipped
• Coordinate deliveries with company truck drivers and external trucking companies to ensure timely delivery of materials to customers
• Maintain professional demeanor in stressful conditions
• Be able and willing to work flexible hours including overtime as job needs arise
• Reliable attendance is essential to performance in this role
• Responsible for a safe work environment for themselves and co-workers
• Other duties and responsibilities related to the nature of the job may be assigned on a temporary or permanent basis as needed

• High school diploma or equivalent or equivalent experience in related function
• At least 1 year of related experience
• Must be able to effectively multitask
• Computer skills in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
• Excellent mathematical and communication skills
• Class A CDL

May require additional lifting of up to 25lbs
