Use accounting, data entry, and customer service skills as a temporary full-time Accounting Clerk with Finance Services at the Regional District of Nanaimo.
This Accounting Clerk supports the Finance department through accurate cash receiving, accounts receivable, utility billing, and accounts payable work. The position also provides public information, assists team members, and performs concierge and reception duties. It is a temporary full-time union position working 35 hours weekly.
Key Responsibilities:- Perform accurate accounting data entry for Finance Services
- Process cash receiving, accounts receivable, and utility billing functions
- Support accounts payable activities and departmental service expectations
- Assist Finance team members with assigned duties
- Provide public information and administration building reception services
- High school diploma
- One year of basic post-secondary accounting or similar coursework
- Two years of prior job-related experience
- One year in a customer service-centric work environment
- Computerized data entry and MS Office suite experience
