Part-Time Watch Clerk

Step into a pivotal role as a permanent part-time Watch Clerk with the City of Nanaimo. You'll manage critical data entry into various police information systems while ensuring quality assurance of operational files.

This part-time position reports to the Operational Shift Supervisor and involves entering, removing, and editing data across multiple platforms, including PRIME and CPIC. Applicants need a minimum of two years' experience in a law enforcement office or relevant data entry role. Enhanced Reliability Status is required, including background checks and verifications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Enter and edit data into police information systems

• Conduct classification and quality assurance reviews

• Maintain accurate records in PRIME and CPIC

• Collaborate with the Operational Shift Supervisor

• Ensure compliance with security screening protocols

Requirements:

• Grade 12 education minimum

• Two years of relevant experience required

• Experience in a law enforcement environment is preferred

• Ability to obtain Enhanced Reliability Status

• Complete five-year background history without gaps
