Fountain Tire Nanaimo (4801 Wellington Road) is expanding its mechanical business to an 11-bay shop! And is looking for a responsible, safe, and dedicated associate to join our team as a Licensed Automotive Service Technician! • Competitive wages $50/hour plus bonuses! Skilled Technicians can achieve bonuses of $1500 monthly

• Diagnosing the cause of any malfunction on a customer’s vehicle
• Performing appropriate repairs with accuracy and efficiency
• Completing approved service on customer vehicles
• Testing and adjusting vehicle systems to manufacturer’s performance specifications
• Performing scheduled maintenance service, such as oil changes, lubrications, and tune ups.
• Advising customers and associates on work performed, general vehicle condition, and future repair requirements
• Maintaining mechanical service equipment on a regularly scheduled basis
• Operating company and customer vehicles in a clean and safe manner
• Supporting customer relationships by responding to customer inquiries

• Red Seal Automotive Service Technician status, CVI and CVSE certification is required
• Diesel experience is an asset
• Strong knowledge of automotive industry and skills required to provide mechanical service to our customers
• A diagnostic specialist that enjoys keeping up with modern technology
• The successful applicant will have strong written and verbal communication skills
• Commitment to providing a superior customer experience
• Ability to maintain a valid driver’s license and provide a satisfactory driver’s abstract from province of residence on an annual basis
