Amrize is hiring a Concrete Finishing Labourer in Nanaimo and Victoria, BC, to aid in the completion of diverse construction projects. This position involves placing and finishing concrete effectively.
As a key member of our construction team, you will handle various tasks from setting forms to prepping base courses.
Your role will also include assisting with demolition and ensuring that all safety protocols are followed. We value those with previous experience in concrete work and operating power tools, as well as a dedication to safety.
Key Responsibilities:
• Place concrete in sidewalk and curb projects
• Prepare and set forms for construction
• Operate power tools as needed
• Participate in demolition of existing structures
• Complete safety assessments before starting work
Requirements:
• High school diploma or equivalent education
• Previous work experience with concrete is preferred
• Capable of lifting 50 lbs as required
• Strong emphasis on safety and communication
• Willingness to work overtime and unsupervised
