Project Manager for Construction Initiatives

Vancouver Island University is seeking a Project Manager focused on construction initiatives to support academic and operational projects. Be instrumental in managing project delivery from inception to completion.

You will play a pivotal role in planning, budgeting, and executing a variety of small-to-mid-scale construction projects across VIU's campuses. Your expertise in coordination and communication will be key to successfully meeting project goals and stakeholder needs while adhering to quality and compliance standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage all aspects of assigned construction projects

• Ensure adherence to project management processes and building codes

• Monitor project risks and implement necessary actions

• Communicate effectively with internal teams and external consultants

• Conduct site visits and quality assurance checks

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in a related field

• 2-4 years of project management experience in construction

• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills

• Knowledge of provincial construction codes

• PMP certification preferred
