Union rates apply and all benefits are provided through the International Union of Operating Engineers, Local 115.
Compensation- $38 to $45 per hour depending on position, experience and qualifications
- Vacation pay: 13% of your hourly wage
- Benefits eligibility:
After completing 250 hours - Pension contributions: $5.15 per hour worked
- Company cell phone or $31.56 cell phone reimbursement per pay period
- Company laptop or tablet
- Provision of a Hazelwood pickup truck and fuel card for work‑related use
As a Foreperson, you’ll take the reins on‑site, ensuring the project runs smoothly and on schedule.
What You’ll Do- Lead and motivate the crew to stay on task and achieve project goals
- Ensure compliance with site rules and safety regulations
- Oversee work quality to ensure it meets Hazelwood’s high standards
- Coordinate with clients, suppliers, and stakeholders to keep the project moving forward
- Read and interpret blueprints and construction plans
- Maintain equipment and manage job site paperwork
- Work alongside your team on the job site when necessary
Our Superintendents manage the big picture across multiple worksites, ensuring that projects are completed efficiently, safely, and to the highest quality.
What You’ll Do- Oversee all aspects of project management, from planning to execution
- Organize and direct work on multiple job sites simultaneously
- Monitor the performance of workers and subcontractors for efficiency and safety
Ensure adherence to Hazelwood’s health and safety policies and procedures - Coordinate with project stakeholders and resolve any on‑site issues
- Maintain a clear focus on meeting project deadlines and staying within budget
- 5+ years of hands‑on civil construction experience
- 5 years in site or crew management roles
- Blueprint reading skills — you know how to interpret and execute
- Solid understanding of construction methods, machinery, and OH&S guidelines
- Familiarity with job site equipment and tools
