Intermediate Registered Architect

Join a thriving architectural practice in Nanaimo, Vancouver Island, as an Intermediate Registered Architect. This role emphasizes sustainable design and regional identity while offering opportunities for professional growth.

We are looking for an experienced individual with strong design skills, capable of working on a variety of projects within the mid Vancouver Island area. Your responsibilities will involve developing design concepts, preparing construction documentation, and assisting with contract administration. Additionally, you will create 3D visualizations using Sketch Up and manage project communications effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop design concepts and schematic drawings

• Prepare construction documentation and specifications

• Assist in contract administration and client coordination

• Conduct design reviews and produce presentations

• Deliver CAD support using Vector Works Architect

Requirements:

• Minimum three years of relevant work experience

• Proficiency in Sketch Up, Photoshop, and Vector Works Architect

• Strong understanding of BC Building Code and municipal bylaws

• Excellent graphic and 3D visualization skills

• Registration or eligibility for AIBC registration
