Join the Central Island Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Program as a full-time Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist. Contribute to innovative programs like Telepsychiatry and Early Psychosis Intervention.
CICAPP is seeking a dedicated psychiatrist to support various components of its growing program. Key responsibilities include providing consultations to the Pediatric Ambulatory Care Service at Nanaimo Regional General Hospital and developing a Mental Health Day Program for children. Opportunities for collaboration with local mental health teams and training medical students are also available.
Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver telepsychiatry outreach services across Vancouver Island
• Consult on cases in Pediatric Ambulatory Care Service
• Develop and manage the Mental Health Day Program
• Participate in the Early Psychosis Intervention Program
• Liaise with the Child and Youth Mental Health Team as needed
Requirements:
• Medical degree and specialization in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry
• Commitment to teaching medical students and residents
• Interest in research participation encouraged
• Experience in child and youth mental health settings
• Flexibility to adapt to various community needs
