Nanaimo Ladysmith Public Schools is searching for Inclusion Support Teachers to implement strategies for students with diverse abilities, ensuring equitable learning experiences. In this role, ISTs will work with school teams to develop inclusive education plans while providing expert guidance on effective teaching methods. The position emphasizes collaboration with various stakeholders to promote positive educational outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement individualized educational plans

• Conduct assessments to inform instructional methods

• Collaborate with teachers and community professionals

• Support students through direct, engaging instruction

• Monitor student progress and adapt interventions accordingly

Requirements:

• Valid BC Teacher Certification

• Advanced degree in Inclusive Education or related fields

• Five years of classroom teaching experience

• Capability in Level B assessment techniques

• Understanding of Indigenous pedagogy
