As part of the District Learning Team, the District Principal will shape educational strategies for Indigenous learners, enhancing collaboration with the Indigenous Education Council. This leadership role will support the district’s strategic goals and build relationships with First Nations communities to enrich student experiences. Your commitment to ethical and inclusive practices will drive positive changes within the educational system.
Key Responsibilities:
• Support principals and staff in the learning agenda
• Collaborate with IEC to enhance Indigenous Learning
• Oversee compliance with Ministry accountability
• Manage Indigenous budget and district staff
• Promote ethical decision-making and professional learning
Requirements:
• Master’s degree in Curriculum or Leadership preferred
• Valid BC teaching certificate required
• Minimum three years of district-based leadership
• Expertise in innovative educational practices
• Dedication to Truth and Reconciliation principles
