Join Vancouver Island University (VIU) as an instructor for the Practical Nursing program, fostering a collaborative learning environment. Teach across campuses, engaging students through both traditional and virtual methods.
VIU is inviting applications for nursing instructors for the 2025/2026 academic year. Candidates will be responsible for delivering a range of courses, developing assignments, and advising students, all aimed at enhancing educational outcomes. The ideal instructor will bridge theory and practice in nursing education across varied settings.
Key Responsibilities:
• Teach nursing courses in clinical and classroom environments
• Design and assess student assignments and evaluations
• Guide students in applying theoretical knowledge to practice
• Contribute to faculty and departmental initiatives
• Support students through instructional advising
Requirements:
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is essential
• Five years recent nursing experience required
• Current BC College of Nurses certification needed
• Familiarity with learning management systems preferred
• Class 5 BC Driver's License necessary for travel
Support nursing education and make an impact within the VIU community.
