Volunteer Kids’ Cooking Classes

Nanaimo Foodshare is seeking volunteers to assist with kids cooking classes. Volunteers for this position would be supporting kids with fun cooking and food-growing activities, giving kids guidance with recipes, cooking techniques and flavour combinations. You would also be assisting with nature lessons and outdoor farm exploration, helping with set‑up, loading and cleanup. Sessions are on weekdays only, for a two or three‑hour shift, either in the morning or afternoon, as the volunteer’s schedule permits.

A love of cooking and interest in food preparation is required, as well as some experience working with kids and youth. A Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Person’s sector is required (current within the past five years).
