Part-Time Education Assistant

Become a key mentor for students at Heritage Christian Online School as a part-time Education Assistant in Nanaimo. Support personalized learning in a flexible, Christian environment every Wednesday.

Heritage Christian Online School is looking for one or two Education Assistants for its Community Connections class. This part-time contract position requires working on-site one day a week during the 2026/27 school year.

Your role will support K-12 students, particularly in grades 4-5, 6-8, or 9-12, providing tailored academic and emotional interventions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the social and academic learning needs of students

• Connect with students in individual and small group settings

• Collaborate with teachers and parents for personalized learning

• Assist in implementing IEP goals with the support team

Requirements:

• Background in Education or related fields

• Valid Certified Educational Assistant certificate preferred

• Strong emotional intelligence and interpersonal skills

• Experience differentiating learning for various levels

• Ability to demonstrate a commitment to Christian values
