You will report to the Manager of Indigenous Initiatives while co-creating a culturally safe environment. Focus on building relationships, assessing financial needs, and coordinating essential support for students. The position also emphasizes crisis response and ensuring culturally responsive service through campus collaboration.
Key Responsibilities:
• Facilitate student transition to university life
• Assess financial need and coordinate assistance
• Provide crisis response support during emergencies
• Build relationships with Indigenous Nations and partners
• Deliver workshops and programming for student success
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in relevant field
• Minimum three years supporting post-secondary learners
• Experience working with Indigenous communities
• Strong intercultural communication and facilitation skills
• Training in trauma-informed practices
