ESL Instructor HCA

Are you passionate about making a difference in the healthcare sector? Discovery Community College has an exciting opportunity for a dedicated individual to join our onsite ESL HCA program in our Nanaimo, BC campus.

As an instructor, you will play a crucial role in transforming lives and positively impacting the health care sector in British Columbia, guiding students through their laboratory and clinical training to become fully qualified and much‑needed Health Care Assistants (HCAs).

August 17, 2026

• Schedule:
  Monday to Friday Upto 40 hours a week
• Competitive Compensation:
  Earn $25-$35 per hour based on experience and credentials.

• Qualifications: Must have a TESL Canada Professional Standard Two and experience teaching Canadian Language Benchmarks (CLB) levels 5 and above.
• Educational Background: A University degree (BA) plus 100 hours of methodology and theory.
• Content knowledge: Must have HCA (Health Care Assistant) content knowledge.
• Passion for Impact: A genuine desire to make a real difference in the lives of students and the healthcare sector.
