This role reports to the Manager of Indigenous Initiatives, providing essential support for Indigenous students through crisis intervention and resource coordination. Drawing on your intercultural communication skills, you’ll connect students with academic services and Indigenous community resources. Your work fosters a culturally safe environment that honors Indigenous identities and traditions.
Key Responsibilities:
• Support Indigenous students' transition to university
• Assess financial needs and coordinate emergency funds
• Provide crisis response and safety planning
• Build relationships with Indigenous Nations and partners
• Plan cultural workshops and outreach events
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in relevant field, 3 years of experience
• Strong understanding of Indigenous student experiences
• Proven facilitation and conflict resolution skills
• Organizational and problem-solving abilities
• Trauma-informed practice training
