Nanaimo Christian School is seeking a full-time Elementary Homeroom Teacher, starting in November for the 2026/27 school year. Join our dedicated team and enrich young minds with faith-based education.
Covering a maternity leave, this important position in our PreK-12 school caters to 700 students on stunning Vancouver Island. We desire educators who integrate their Christian Faith into teaching and support an inclusive, student-first approach. Collaborate with fellow staff to create a nurturing atmosphere.
Key Responsibilities:
• Create engaging lessons that reflect curriculum standards
• Build a respectful and inclusive classroom culture
• Collaborate with staff to share best practices
• Assess student learning and provide meaningful feedback
• Incorporate Christian teachings into daily lessons
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Education required
• Certification in teaching valid in British Columbia
• Strong commitment to Christian educational principles
• Effective communication and collaboration skills
• Experience working with children in educational settings
