Job Description
  • Collaborate with the design management team to coordinate the design of projects throughout the development and finalization process.
  • Familiarize yourself with client-supplied documents and project documents during the proposal and execution phases.
  • Coordinate architects, professional engineers, and specialized consultants during design development.
  • Ensure the established objectives and schedules are respected for the production of deliverables.
  • Manage technical documentation and review steps using the Procore document management system.
  • Communicate required technical information and drawings to the estimation department, suppliers, and subcontractors.
  • Optimize design through alternative analysis and value analysis, assessing impact on time frames and costs in synergy with the construction team, while ensuring constructability.
  • Participate in the design committee with relevant stakeholders and take minutes as required.
  • Ensure the selected BIM modelling approach is properly implemented and used in collaboration with stakeholders.
  • Follow up on client design requirements, make connections between disciplines and ensure requirements are met.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or college diploma in engineering, architecture or a related field.
  • Member of a professional body (OAA).
  • Minimum 5–8 years of professional experience in a design development role.
  • Experience in ports or other marine projects required.
  • Demonstrated initiative, innovation and rigor.
  • Good knowledge of virtual BIM‑VDC modelling.
  • Excellent analytical, judgment, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with all project team members.
  • Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment and handle stress well.
