Junior Geotechnical Engineer

Become a Junior Geotechnical Engineer with 704 EGI in Nanaimo, BC. This role focuses on geotechnical investigations, foundation design assessments, and effective communication with stakeholders.

As part of the Geotechnical Engineering Team, you will conduct and supervise investigations, assess geologic conditions, and assist in designing shallow and deep foundations. Evaluating geohazards and seismic assessments as well as preparing engineering reports will be key tasks. The position requires collaboration with clients while ensuring adherence to safety and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and supervise geotechnical investigations

• Evaluate geological conditions for foundations

• Conduct assessments for commercial and industrial structures

• Assist with geohazard and seismic evaluations

• Prepare engineering reports and recommendations

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Geotechnical, Geological, or Civil Engineering

• Minimum 1 year of experience in geotechnical engineering

• Proficiency in MS Office, AutoCAD, and geotechnical software

• Eligible for professional registration in BC

• Must hold a valid BC Class 5 driver’s license
