Join Nanaimo Engineering Services as a Geoscience Professional. This position, ideal for registered professionals and technicians, involves field work and technical contributions across ongoing projects.
NES is expanding its team in Nanaimo, BC, seeking geoscience professionals for roles in quarries, hydrogeology, and geomatics. You will engage in preparing Notice of Work applications, conducting site assessments, and offering support in various technical aspects. Your involvement will be crucial in shaping our geoscience projects and supporting environmental efforts throughout British Columbia.
Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare Notice of Work applications and technical reports
• Conduct GIS analysis and mapping for project insights
• Perform field work for assessments, monitoring, and sampling
• Assist in reclamation and closure planning processes
• Engage in technical writing and report review tasks
Requirements:
• Degree in geoscience or engineering discipline
• EIT or GIT registration with EGBC or equivalent
• Minimum 1 year industry experience, co-op included
• Strong attention to detail and writing skills
• Adequate project references and readiness for field work
