Compliance Officer at RDN Solid Waste

This full-time position engages you in the Solid Waste Services department of the RDN.

Your role encompasses vital compliance checks, inspections, and educational outreach. By effectively balancing enforcement and community education, you will help maintain waste management regulations and enhance service delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct inspections of waste disposal for adherence

• Identify and manage contamination issues promptly

• Oversee compliance from licensed haulers and facilities

• Investigate illegal dumping incidents and coordinate responses

• Keep thorough compliance records and document complaints

Requirements:

• High school diploma with additional post-secondary education

• Three years of relevant local government experience

• At least one year in compliance enforcement roles

• Completion of Level 1 Bylaw Enforcement course

• Valid Class 5 Driver’s License
