Join the Regional District of Nanaimo as a full-time Bylaw Enforcement Officer to manage bylaw violations effectively. Support departments by providing enforcement services and resolving issues proactively.
This permanent position in the Bylaw Services department requires a strong foundation in compliance and conflict resolution. Your experience in local government and enforcement is vital for mediating and addressing violations. Assist and collaborate with the bylaw team to achieve departmental goals and enhance service delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
• Identify and investigate bylaw violations across regions
• Mediate and resolve enforcement issues with stakeholders
• Provide support to Bylaw Services team in daily operations
• Collaborate with various departments on enforcement matters
• Document and report findings accurately and timely
Requirements:
• High School Diploma and Level One Bylaw Enforcement certification
• 3-5 years in local government enforcement settings
• 2 years direct experience in bylaw enforcement
• Valid Class 5 BC Driver's Licence required
• Occupational First Aid, Level I certification needed
