Interior Health is seeking an experienced and dynamic Medical Laboratory Technologist to join our Medical Laboratory Department at Kootenay Boundary Regional Hospital in Trail, BC. About the Job

Kootenay Boundary Regional Hospital (KBH) is a 75 bed acute care site in the Kootenay Boundary health service area and responsible for providing core medical and surgical specialty services. Located in Trail, between Grand Forks and Nelson, KBH offers services including core physician specialties, 24 hour emergency and trauma services, Level 2 laboratory, acute and obstetrical care, psychiatry, and chemotherapy. Typical duties may include performing routine and/or complex tests utilizing manual procedures and automated instruments, collecting and/or receiving specimens, entering data into the LIS, validating/reporting test results, maintaining instruments and preparing solutions and control agents.

This is a Permanent Full Time (1.00) opportunity.

Qualifications
  • Graduation from an approved Medical Laboratory Science Program
  • Current certification with the Canadian Society for Medical Laboratory Science (CSMLS) and eligible for membership with the BCSLS and/or CSMLS
  • One (1) year recent related experience
