You will play a vital role in offering a variety of care services, including client assessments, group facilitation, and supportive counseling for those dealing with substance misuse. This role requires a solid understanding of chemical dependency and the ability to communicate effectively with clients and their families. Your skills in crisis intervention and healthy lifestyle modeling are crucial in promoting well-being.
Key Responsibilities:
• Supervise clients in detoxification and recovery settings
• Facilitate educational and supportive group meetings
• Conduct individual client assessments and admit/discharge effectively
• Monitor and report on client behavioral changes
• Coordinate communication with referring agents
Requirements:
• Post-secondary education in addiction counseling
• Two years of relevant work experience
• Certification in First Aid and CPR
• Valid BC Driver's License when required
• Food Safe Certificate and NVCI training within three months
