Police Technical Support Specialist

This permanent role, under the Police Support Services department, involves direct engagement with hardware and software systems crucial for police work. The ideal candidate will bring a diploma in Computer Science, CompTIA A+, and CompTIA Network+ certifications, alongside at least three years of relevant experience. You will assist police staff with IT solutions, ensuring effective usage of technology across the department.
Key Responsibilities:
• Repair and maintain computer hardware and systems
• Document and implement operating systems and applications
• Assist staff with system usage and troubleshooting
• Support IT infrastructure planning and implementation
• Maintain RCMP Security Clearance as required
Requirements:
• Diploma in Computer Science or related field
• CompTIA A+ and CompTIA Network+ certifications
• Minimum 3 years of related IT experience
• Valid BC Class 5 Driver’s License
• Preference for experience in police environments
