Become an integral part of our IT team as an IT Support Specialist in Nanaimo, BC, focused on enhancing technology in education. This role emphasizes customer service and technical expertise in a supportive environment.
You will support both students and staff by maintaining efficient technology operations and deploying user computing systems. Your passion for problem-solving and collaboration will drive improvements in how we utilize technology. With your strong background in IT, you’ll help establish secure and effective practices across our district.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide end-user technology support for systems and networks
• Deploy applications and computing devices for users
• Work with IT team to enhance support methodologies
• Manage local area network operations and security practices
• Contribute to ongoing technology improvements
Requirements:
• High school diploma and 2+ years in a computer-related field
• 3+ years supporting IT in Microsoft environments
• Excellent organizational and communication skills
• Customer-service oriented
• Valid BC Driver’s license
