Radio Technology Technologist in BC

Join the team as a Radio Technology Technologist in beautiful British Columbia. Support critical communications for police operations, including 2-way radio systems and advanced technologies.

This role is vital for maintaining and troubleshooting police 2-way radio communications and mountain-top radio repeaters across multiple BC locations. You will also provide IT support for Radio Over IP networks and contribute to high-security event communications. Your expertise in GPS, satellite communications, and RF equipment will help streamline operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain and troubleshoot police 2-way radio communications

• Configure mountain-top radio repeater stations

• Develop IT solutions for Radio Over IP networks

• Plan communications for high-security events

• Test and repair electronic equipment using RF tools

Requirements:

• Two-year post-secondary education in computer science or related field

• Experience in IT, electronics, and communications infrastructure

• Knowledge of RF communication and wireless networks

• Strong communication and problem-solving skills

• Valid Class 5 driver’s license and ability to travel
