Become a Facility Utility Worker with Oak View Group, responsible for event setup and ongoing facility maintenance at the Vancouver Island Conference Center. This role ensures high standards of cleanliness and operational efficiency.
As a Facility Utility Worker under the Working Facility Supervisor, you will manage various tasks for event setup and janitorial needs. Working 20 hours per week from September to June, this position requires flexibility and readiness for casual work in the summer months. Your contributions will support the smooth running of one of the largest event venues in the region.
Key Responsibilities:
• Maintain furniture, fixtures, and equipment in optimal condition
• Set up and tear down facility equipment for events
• Follow general instructions with minimal supervision
• Ensure cleanliness of the building and janitorial needs
• Operate equipment like forklifts and floor scrubbers
Requirements:
• Experience in a multi-use facility setting
• High school diploma or equivalent GED
• Ability to obtain current CPR certification
• Knowledge of customer service practices
• Flexible schedule across various shifts
