Traffic Control Lane Closure Technician

Join Universal Group as a Lane Closure Technician and play a key role in traffic safety across Vancouver Island. Utilize your skills to direct traffic control while working outdoors five weekdays.

In the position of Lane Closure Technician, you will be a crucial member of Universal Group's Traffic Control team.

Your role includes setting up, maintaining, and removing traffic control measures while ensuring compliance with safety standards. Collaborating with contractors across industries, you will provide clear directions to motorists and help ensure a safe environment for workers and the public during various jobs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Set up and adjust traffic control zones effectively

• Lead teams to ensure compliance and safety

• Conduct traffic control at events, ensuring smooth operations

• Participate in safety meetings and assessments

• Report any safety or compliance issues to management

Requirements:

• At least 6 months of experience as an LCT in BC

• Valid TCP certification with WorkSafeBC recognition

• Clean driver's license required

• Solid knowledge of WorkSafeBC regulations for Traffic Control

• Excellent communication and conflict management skills
