Be a part of the Regional District of Nanaimo's Recreation Services as a temporary part-time Building Services Worker. Your focus will be on cleaning, maintenance, and preparation of facilities in Electoral Area

This position invites applications from individuals qualified with a high school diploma and a Building Services Worker certificate. With 1-2 years of experience, the selected candidate will handle minor repairs and cleaning at recreation facilities while cooperating with service contractors to ensure a well-maintained environment. Flexibility for weekend shifts is required based on operational needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Execute minor repairs across recreational facilities

• Uphold cleanliness and sanitation standards

• Act as liaison for service contractors

• Prepare and set up facilities for events

• Assist with maintenance schedules and needs

Requirements:

• High school diploma required

• 1-2 years of job-related experience

• Must possess a valid Class 5 Driver’s License

• Holding a Building Services Worker certificate is preferred

• Willingness for occasional weekend work
