Shape the future of maintenance planning at BC Ferries in Nanaimo as a Maintenance Planner.
Your role will be critical in establishing a preventative maintenance program while meeting tight deadlines.
Reporting to the Regional Manager of Terminal Maintenance, you'll be responsible for planning work orders, estimating costs, and managing maintenance databases.
Your role involves collaborating across departments and ensuring that maintenance activities align with operational goals. Your expertise will help in optimizing asset performance and reliability.
Key Responsibilities:
• Plan and estimate work requests efficiently
• Assist in creating purchase requisitions and stock planning
• Maintain accurate preventative maintenance records
• Manage equipment identification and service requests
• Provide orientation and informal training for staff
Requirements:
• Red Seal Trade or Engineering Qualification needed
• At least 2 years in planning/scheduling from maintenance or construction
• Experience with maintenance management systems required
• Valid BC Driver's License with a clean record
• Strong ability to work both independently and in teams
