Position: Laundry Assistant for Memory Care Community
Become a Laundry Assistant at Nanaimo Memory Care, where you will play a key role in providing quality laundry services for our memory care residents. Support a vibrant residential care environment focused on individual wellbeing.

This impactful position involves a variety of laundry responsibilities essential to our residents’ comfort. You will help maintain a hygienic environment through proper garment handling and laundering processes. Experience is beneficial but not required; we provide training and support for all staff.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collect and sort soiled laundry from different wings

• Prepare garments for washing per care instructions

• Ensure all items are laundered correctly following procedures

• Maintain cleanliness of laundry equipment post-shift

• Distribute clean laundry efficiently to residents

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred

• Demonstrated ability to lift and carry items up to 50 lbs

• Strong attention to detail and hygiene

• Willingness to adapt to various working conditions

• Basic laundry handling experience preferred but not mandatory
