What's the role?
As Senior Manager, AML & Regulatory Compliance and CCCU’s Chief Anti-Money Laundering Officer, you’ll lead our AML/ATF Compliance Program—including sanctions, Foreign Account Tax Compliance Act (“FATCA”) and Common Reporting Standard (“CRS”) compliance—and provide independent oversight, regulatory guidance and effective challenge across the organization. You’ll monitor program effectiveness, oversee reporting and remediation, advise on emerging risks and organizational change, lead strategic improvements, and keep senior management and the Board informed of material matters, while coaching and developing a high-performing team.
Duties include:
- - Serve as Coastal Community’s CAMLO, providing independent regulatory guidance, effective challenge and escalation of material compliance matters.
- - Monitor program effectiveness, emerging risks and regulatory changes, and ensure policies, procedures, controls and training remain current.
- - Leads the development and ongoing operation of the enterprise RCM Program, including the regulatory obligation inventory, accountability framework, compliance methodology and reporting.
- - Provide oversight for regulatory reporting, suspicious transaction filing decisions, risk-based monitoring and testing, remediation, and regulatory or independent reviews.
- - Report material matters to senior management and Board committees
- - Lead, coach and develop team members.
What are we looking for?
- - Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or a related field required;
Master’s degree preferred. - - Accredited AML/ATF certification or designation.
- - At least seven years of progressive financial services or related experience, including five years in a leadership role.
- - Advanced knowledge of financial institution operations, the PCMLTFA and regulations, FINTRAC guidance, FATCA, CRS, and the Three Lines of Defense model.
- - Experience overseeing an AML/ATF Compliance Program, including risk assessment, regulatory reporting, training, monitoring, effectiveness reviews, and suspicious transaction filing decisions.
- - Demonstrated ability to interpret regulatory requirements and translate them into policies, procedures and controls.
- - Experience working with regulators, auditors and independent reviewers and preparing clear reporting for senior management and Board committees.
- - Proven leadership, project management, research, analysis and stakeholder communication skills.
