This position is responsible for a variety of tasks that are manufacturing or distribution based and may include assembling and manufacturing sales orders, picking products from the warehouse, shipping, and receiving.
Responsibilities   Maintain 100% commitment to safety policies and procedures
Assemble products to company, customer and manufacturer’s standards
Perform all product testing to quality standards as required by the customer and per company work instruction
Receive incoming shipments into inventory, post in online system and place items in warehouse
Pick product in warehouse and prepare items for delivery or shipping
Operate mechanical equipment, hand tools, forklifts and picking lifts (if applicable)
Assist with physical inventory
Make recommendations to management with respect to product and process improvements
Perform other duties as trained and qualified

Skills and Abilities

Interact with team members in a professional manner
Have good communication skills
Possess basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication and division in units of measure
Have basic mechanical skills including the use of hand tools
Have basic computer skills preferred, including email and internet

Minimum Qualifications   Must be 18 years of age or older
1‑3 years of related warehousing or production experience
A high school diploma or GED
Reliable transportation is a must
Ability to safely drive a Company truck or other mechanical equipment
Ability to work nights and weekends, as required
Ability to work overtime, as required
Background checks and drug screening may be required (by Company, Customer or DOT requirements in working on-site and operating equipment as required or permitted by law)

Preferred Qualifications   Industrial setting experience

Physical Requirements and Work Environment   Work is based in a production and warehouse setting, which may involve exposure to fluctuating temperatures (hot and cold), varying noise levels, dust and other typical industrial conditions
Pull, push, grasp, bend, lift and carry up to 50 lbs independently on a repeated basis; heavier items may be moved with team assistance or mechanical aid
Move freely throughout the job site, including on occasional uneven surfaces, for extended periods of time
Work in a stationary position for extended periods of time
Work at varying work‑surface levels and machine operation heights; move above or below workstations or retrieve items from various heights
Ascend and descend ladders or stairs as required
Comprehend and follow instructions and safety procedures; comprehend documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, inventory sheets, and procedure manuals
Count, measure and record data accurately
Respond to safety signals, alarms, and verbal instructions
Inspect products and materials to detect imperfections, defects or irregularities and ensure quality and compliance
Use mechanical equipment and tools, including forklifts, pallet jacks and other warehouse machinery (training and certification may be required)
Enter and exit a service vehicle and other mechanical equipment multiple times per day
Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), such as gloves, safety glasses, steel‑toed footwear, hearing protection or hard hats, depending on task or site conditions
