The Nanaimo Primary Care Network is looking for a dedicated Nurse Practitioner to work at the Snaw-Naw-As Health Centre. This modern facility provides primary care services to the Indigenous population in a rural setting, focusing on both traditional and contemporary healing. The role involves enhancing patient care for individuals with diverse medical and social challenges, including those involved with the Tsow-Tun Lelum Treatment Centre.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide low barrier primary care to Indigenous patients

• Collaborate with interdisciplinary health team members

• Offer after-hours care as part of the call group

• Address complex medical needs and co-morbidities

• Support trauma-informed care methodologies

Requirements:

• Nurse Practitioner certification with relevant experience
