As a vital support in the NICU/Pediatrics unit, you will implement nursing strategies focusing on safety and quality initiatives that align with Island Health’s mission. This position requires strong pediatric knowledge, effective communication skills, and the physical capabilities needed to support nursing activities. Candidates should be adept at managing priorities in a dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver individualized nursing care to pediatric patients
• Participate in community education and support
• Collaborate effectively with healthcare teams
• Evaluate and document patient progress
• Ensure compliance with nursing standards and protocols
Requirements:
• Graduate from a neonatal nursing specialty program
• Hold current RN registration with BC College of Nurses and Midwives
• CPR and Neonatal Resuscitation Program certifications
• Two years of recent pediatric nursing experience
• Proficient in verbal and written communication
