AVI Health seeks LPNs, RNs, or RPNs to work across various community health programs in Nanaimo. This role involves providing care tailored to individuals facing complex health challenges, particularly those with substance use issues and their unique goals. You will engage with a multidisciplinary team to deliver person-centered healthcare, focusing on assessment, education, and harm reduction strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide assessment and support for clients in health programs
• Collaborate on individualized care plans for participants
• Educate on harm reduction practices and distribute supplies
• Conduct screenings and administer medications as needed
• Engage with community partners for seamless support
Requirements:
• Valid nursing license with BC College of Nurses
• 2-3 years in nursing focused on substance use and mental health
• Experience in community health and harm reduction services
• Strong commitment to social justice and equity
• Knowledge of opiate agonist treatment options
