Position: Surgical Care Nurse at Island Health

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess and evaluate nursing care for surgical patients

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary health care professionals

• Apply nursing process according to BC nursing standards

• Communicate effectively with patients and health team

• Remain calm during emergency and stressful situations

Requirements:

• Registered Nurse with BC College of Nurses and Midwives

• Post-basic surgical nursing education or equivalent

• Up to two years of related experience

• Basic Life Support, Level C certification

• Strong organizational and teaching skills
