Join AVI Health in Nanaimo as an STI Nurse committed to harm reduction and community wellness. This position emphasizes the intersection of health, education, and advocacy.
As part of AVI's Community Health Centre, you will focus on prevention and treatment services for STIs and provide comprehensive healthcare to vulnerable populations. The role requires working in collaboration with interdisciplinary teams for outreach and education initiatives while delivering client-centered services across various programs.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct STI testing and provide patient education
• Collaborate with the healthcare team on case management
• Facilitate referrals for additional health services
• Provide community outreach and support initiatives
• Document client interactions and monitor care outcomes
Requirements:
• Active RN registration with BCCNM
• Experience with marginalized communities and harm reduction
• Strong clinical skills in preventative healthcare
• Minimum 3 years nursing experience required
• Must possess a valid BC driver’s license
