As a Surgical Care Nurse, your role will consist of planning, executing, and evaluating surgical care. You will apply your skills to maintain patient safety, demonstrating sound judgement and organizational abilities within a health care team. Engagement with patients and proactive communication will be crucial in this role, as you prioritize their care needs.
Key Responsibilities:
• Evaluate patient care with a focus on surgical procedures
• Plan and execute nursing strategies for patient care
• Apply nursing standards as outlined by BC College of Nurses
• Work effectively with a multidisciplinary health care team
• Maintain composure in critical situations
Requirements:
• Practicing RN registrant with BC College of Nurses
• Specialized training in surgical or ambulatory care nursing
• Maximum two years relevant experience
• Basic Life Support Level C certified
• Excellent assessment and communication skills
