We are looking for a local Licensed Practical Nurse with experience in LTC in Nanaimo, BC!
Who we are looking for:
Must have a valid BCCNM License
Valid CPR & TB test
One year experience (preferred)
Driver's license with transportation preferred, but not required
* Long Term Care experience
Point Click Care and/or RAI Certification is preferred
We are seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team and provide quality patient care. The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing patient needs, developing and implementing nursing care plans, providing treatments and medications, monitoring patient progress, and educating patients and families about health maintenance and disease prevention. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a commitment to patient safety, and the ability to work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals.
Responsibilities:
Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by a physician.
Observe and document patient's condition and progress.
Assist patients with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, and eating.
Maintain accurate records of patient care, condition, progress, and concerns.
Provide education to patients and families about health maintenance and disease prevention.
Communicate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate quality patient care.
Assist in the development of individualized patient care plans.

Pay: $45.00-$47.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week

Schedule:

8 hour shift Day shift Evening shift Monday to Friday Night shift On call Overtime Weekends as needed
